On the match:
“The first half we started off fast in the first 15 minutes and then Colorado Springs got into a rhythm. In the second half, they changed their shape a bit and were more aggressive in the way they built. There were a few moments where Nico [Campuzano] and Miles [Lyons} made fantastic plays to stop goals. We know we have the ability to score at any moment, and it was a great ball by Anton [Søjberg] to Mayele [Malango] who came on and it made the difference. It just shows that it’s never just the starting eleven or the subs or the guys who didn’t dress, it’s going to take a whole team effort from everyone.”
On the goals:
“Adrian [Rebollar] doesn’t normally score with his head. We’ve asked him to score more goals and defensively his actions are amazing so it’s good to see him on the scoresheet. In the second half when Mayele came on, it made a difference and that’s what we want. We want guys who can come on and make a difference whether it’s Mayele or even Lara coming on in those last 10 minutes to be more secure at the back. It’s a great three points for sure.”
Goalkeeper Nico Campuzano
On the match:
“We’re off to a good start. Getting tested by teams of this caliber, and defending our home field is great. We’re off to a good start like I said, but we just need to stay on it and continue on with our momentum. So far so good, I’m super happy.”
On his performance:
“Giving up that first goal was annoying, but then It felt great. I was a little under pressure in those last few moments especially when we dropped into a low block. I was just trying not to make any mistakes and it felt good to get that result. I can’t express my emotion of how I felt when we got that second goal. I was relieved and then I knew immediately it was on me to keep it.”
