Jesus Enríquez Named to USL Championship Team of the Week for Week 7
SEASIDE, California (Tuesday, April 23, 2024) – Monterey Bay F.C. came from behind to defeat Memphis 901 FC away from home over the weekend and move into second place in the Western Conference. The performance by Jesus “Chuy” Enríquez was highlighted by his game-winning assist, a well-taken corner in the 70th minute of the match to put the Crisp-and-Kelp in front for good at 2-1. Now, Enríquez has earned a spot on USL Championship’s Team of the Week for Week 7.
Enríquez earns his first league-wide Team of the Week as a member of Monterey Bay F.C. for his performance in the Club’s fourth consecutive win in all competitions. Enríquez created four total chances on the night, including the aforementioned game-winning assist to Alex Lara in the 70th minute. In addition, he finished the contest with a solid 77.3% passing accuracy, won seven duels, won three fouls, and recorded three tackles.
