On the importance of tonight’s win:
“It was huge, to be honest. It was one of those games that we needed to make sure we stayed in the playoff hunt. It was a tough start for us, but a great finish. Credit to the guys, they really stuck to it and getting the goal before halftime really helped us. We seemed a little nervous or shaky to start with, and Las Vegas capitalized on that. But I’ve got to hand it to the guys, they came back. They really drove forward, got chances and deserved, in the end, to win the game. It was a great night.”
On the message after going down two goals:
“My first chance to talk to them was at halftime when we were down 2-1, so I said ‘we’re back in the game.’ I told them we are going to win this game. I just felt it. Once we got that goal I felt that we had a chance of getting back into it and going on to win it – but you never know. To go down 2-0 at home is never easy. Hand it to Las Vegas, they really got at us and scored on the only couple of chances they had in the first half. We had some chances to score also and didn’t put it away, but that’s football. What I liked about the guys was the spirit and the fight. The subs did a great job as well as the guys that started the game. Collectively, it was a great result for the Club and now we really look forward to Wednesday night against San Diego.”

On scoring against his former club
“It felt really good. I had a pretty shaky start to the season with two injuries back-to-back. I have been working real hard to help the team out. So to score tonight, I really just want to dedicate this goal to my grandpa that I lost last week. I know that he was with me today and it was a fantastic feeling to be able to get that goal and help the team come back after being down 2-0. I’m just really happy.”
On the match:
“It was a huge win. We knew coming in that it was going to be a massive challenge for us. We’ve been on a good streak recently, but ultimately we’re trying to make the playoffs and this was a step in the right direction.”
