SEASIDE, California (Friday, August 5, 2022) – Monterey Bay F.C. welcomes El Paso Locomotive FC to Health and Wellness Night at Cardinale Stadium, presented by Montage Health in Week 22 of the 2022 USL Championship regular season on Saturday, August 6. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m. PT and can be streamed live on ESPN+.

Head-to-Head: El Paso Locomotive FC has the head-to-head advantage over Monterey Bay F.C. with a win in the previous match played between the sides, though this will be the first meeting between the club’s at Cardinale Stadium in Seaside. The previous match between the sides resulted in a 6-0 defeat for the Union at Southwest University Park in El Paso, Texas.
Connections: Locomotive FC forward Christiano François has several connections to the Union. In 2021, François was teammates with Monterey Bay F.C. forward Chris Cortez at Miami FC when Cortez joined the club ahead of its run in the USL Championship Playoffs last season. The season before in 2020, François played at Reno 1868 with Monterey Bay midfielder Sam Gleadle. Lastly, François and Union defender and captain Hugh Roberts spent the 2018 season as teammates at Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC.
