Monterey Bay Football Club and XL Public House in Salinas, California hosted the inaugural MBFC Town Hall on Tuesday, August 2. Head Coach Frank Yallop and midfielders Simon Dawkins, Walmer Martinez and Adrian Rebollar were in attendance, answered questions from the audience and took part in supporters’ group FuerzaUnion’s live ‘Tuesday Drop-In’ podcast.
An initial, open discussion on a future mascot for the Union took place at the event as well, with the club listening to suggestions from those in attendance as the starting point in the conversation. In addition, Monterey Bay F.C. gave away a signed inaugural match t-shirt, as well as signed 2022 inaugural season poster calendars.
“It was super great to see the fans come out to show their support. We love their interest, and we want them to know that we care about them as well,” said Martinez. “We love everything that the fans are doing at our games and even when we are at our away games, they are hosting watch parties. I was honestly super excited to see everyone, and I look forward to doing it again because I enjoy interacting with our fans. I am super grateful and appreciative.”
