Monterey Bay Football Club will host an upcoming town hall at XL Public House (21+) in Salinas, California on Tuesday, August 2, where the club will also open up discussion with supporters in attendance on a potential mascot. After hearing supporters’ feedback on the three previously announced mascot options, Monterey Bay F.C. is going back to the drawing board. Though an otter is not an option due to being the current mascot of California State University Monterey Bay (CSUMB), the club will be open to suggestions at the town hall.
Sporting Director and Head Coach Frank Yallop will kick off the night with a midseason chalk talk before an open Q&A session with Yallop, Assistant Coach Ramiro Corrales, and MBFC players Walmer Martínez, Adrian Rebollar, and Simon Dawkins. Fans can register for the event by clicking below. Attendance is limited to the first 50 fans that register. The first 50 registrants will be entered into a raffle for a signed inaugural match t-shirt. Must be in attendance to win.
Meanwhile, the Crisp and Kelp travel to Leesburg, Virginia to take on Loudoun United FC at Segra Field this Saturday, July 30 at 4:30 p.m. on ESPN+. Single-match tickets are available now for the rest of the 2022 campaign. Visit montereybayfc.com/tickets for more information.
