Monterey Bay Football Club (Monterey Bay F.C.) goalkeeper Dallas Jaye and forward Seku Conneh visited the Boys and Girls Club of Monterey County (BGCMC) on Wednesday, April 20. Jaye and Conneh began the visit by speaking with the group and answering their questions. Afterwards, the players teamed up with the kids for a fun soccer scrimmage inside the gym before ending the visit with a few autographs.
The Boys and Girls Club of Monterey County has been a part of the community since 1968 and strives to inspire and empower the youth of Monterey County to realize their full potential to become responsible, healthy, productive and successful citizens. In total, the BGCMC serves an average of 500 children a day with high-quality programs provided by trained youth development professionals.
“Seku and I had a fantastic time getting to hang out with the kids at the Boys and Girls Club,” said Jaye. “Opportunities to get out in the community are so important as we continue to build this club from the ground up. For me, the best experiences are when we get to share our passion for the game of soccer with the next generation. We had a blast getting to kick it around with them and can’t wait to see them all at our home games soon.”
