MONTEREY, Calif. (July 30, 2021) – Following an announcement celebration last night, The Britannia Arms of Monterey (The Brit) was named as a Monterey Bay Football Club (Monterey Bay F.C.)’s Official Pub Partner.
“The Britannia Arms of Monterey is over the moon to be in a partnership with Monterey Bay Football Club,” said The Britannia Arms Owner Paul Whitecross. “The Britannia Arms will be hosting watch parties and we look forward to supporting the club, on and off the field, with other events and gatherings for the soccer community. Hopefully we can also bring home some silverware.”
The Brit, located in the heart of downtown Monterey on Alvarado Street, will be showing every Monterey Bay F.C. away match. Fans are encouraged to gather at The Brit with a pint to watch, cheer and share the experience with fellow Monterey Bay F.C. supporters and fans.
“We want a place where fans can be passionate and excited while watching our matches and we know The Brit is the perfect place for this experience” said Monterey Bay F.C. Owner and Chairman Ray Beshoff. “Paul has created the perfect atmosphere for our fans to congregate together, grab a pint, and watch an incredible match.“
As part of the partnership, the club’s official listing of pub partners will be presented by The Brit on all digital platforms, campaigns and promotions. A list of all official pub partners and their locations will be posted on Monterey Bay F.C. website for fans to refer to as the 2022 Inaugural Season grows closer.
The Brit has long been the known as the place for local soccer fans to gather and watch international and domestic matches. They also host weekly events and specials allowing it to quickly become a favorite for locals and tourists since its doors opened in 1999. They offer 24 beers on tap as well as a full bar. Their full-service kitchen offers an extensive selection of British and American favorites from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., while also serving breakfast seven days a week. Patrons can also enjoy live music from local bands and DJs every Friday and Saturday night with karaoke night taking place throughout the week.
