Monterey Bay Football Club (Monterey Bay F.C.) announced today that the club has signed Greenville Triumph SC goalkeeper, Dallas Jaye.
A Danville, California native, Jaye joined USL Championship after completing his collegiate career at both the University of South Florida and Xavier University. During his senior year at Xavier, Jaye was awarded All-Big East Co-Goalkeeper of the Year and was also named to the All-Big East First Team. Jaye broke the school record by allowing only nine goals in 2015. In 2016, he signed his first professional contract with USL club, FC Cincinnati.
Following two seasons with FC Cincinnati and one season with Phoenix Rising FC, Jaye joined the inaugural season of USL League One’s Greenville Triumph SC in 2019. In the team’s first season, Jaye’s performance in goal helped lead the Triumph to the league title where he recorded 13 shutouts in goal. Throughout his time with the Triumph, he was named 2019 and 2020 USL League One Goalkeeper of the Year. Jaye recorded 32 saves in 16 games in 2020 while also recording nine clean sheets the same year.
“Dallas has had extraordinary back-to-back seasons in USL League One,” said Sporting Director and Head Coach, Frank Yallop. “He’s a seasoned player whose leadership and experience will be vital to Monterey Bay F.C. throughout our inaugural season.”
Jaye, 28, made his international debut for Guam in 2012 with his most recent appearance being in the AFC Asian Cup Qualification in October 2021.
“I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the inaugural team,” said Dallas Jaye. “Growing up in Northern California, I’ve always known that soccer is a part of the fabric of our communities here. Monterey is full-deserving of a professional club to call their own and I could not be more excited to get started,” shared Jaye. “I look forward to helping the Union grow and have success both on and off the field in 2022.”
